OUR LOVE STORY

Love knows no distance

We met online in August 2025. Ben was in the UK and Guen was in the Philippines. Even though we were miles apart, the connection felt familiar, as if it had always been there.

Love feels familiar

As we got to know each other, it felt like two best friends who had known each other for a long time, gone abroad, and found each other again.

Our love felt like coming home.

THE PROPOSAL

February 17, 2026
Guen's hand on the Blackbird restaurant menu

The venue

Guen had always wanted to go to Blackbird restaurant and mentioned it to Ben. Little did she know that this was where he planned to propose.

The engagement ring in its box beside a handwritten letter

The ring

Guen designed the ring in December 2025, and Ben set the budget (haha). It's a six-prong, one-carat ring with diamonds by Lucce, and Guen didn't get to see it until Ben proposed.

The plan

After dinner at Blackbird, we kept our tradition of writing each other love letters. Guen read Ben's letter, where he wrote, "Will you marry me?" Guen cried and said YES!
